Camp Bournedale, located on Great Herring Pond in Plymouth, is the home of a week long, overnight environmental/outdoor education program that has been in operation for over twenty years.
For five days and four nights,
sixth grade
students from Carver
Middle School
take hands-on, activity based courses in coastal ecology, pond study,
marine and earth sciences. In addition to the study of science,
students learn about Native American Culture and aspects of the
geological history of surrounding areas.
Come and enjoy a unique opportunity to spend time with your child and their friends! Chaperones are needed especially for overnights, but any time that you can help is appreciated. Either way chances are you will learn something too. See our FAQs for more information, and testimonials from parents who chaperoned previous trips.
Why not sign up to be a chaperone now! It only takes a moment.

Do you have a special skill, or talent? Do you have family, friends or business acquaintances?
We are always in need of chaperones, but there are many other ways in which you can contribute to this fantastic event.
For example, you might know someone who works for an office supply company. Perhaps they would be willing to donate journals, pencils, or notebooks?
Maybe you own a van, or know someone with a truck or an enclosed trailer? Getting the children's luggage to Camp is very important.
Please feel free to contact us if you have something you think might help. Use your imagination!
